Flower Care
A few simple habits will add days of beauty to your arrangement. Here's exactly what we do in the shop.

Water is everything
Check the water daily. Flowers drink far more than people expect in the first 48 hours. Top off with cool water, and change it completely every two to three days.
Trim the stems
Every few days, lift the arrangement out if it's hand-tied and trim a half inch off the stems at an angle with sharp scissors. For designed arrangements in foam, simply keep the foam saturated.
Choose a good spot
- Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents.
- Avoid the top of the refrigerator or a bowl of ripening fruit — ethylene gas ages blooms fast.
- Cool rooms and overnight air conditioning meaningfully extend vase life.
Tidy as you go
Remove spent blooms and any leaves sitting in water. One fading flower can shorten the life of the ones around it, and removing it makes the whole arrangement look refreshed.
Plants
Most of our potted plants prefer bright indirect light and watering only when the top inch of soil is dry. When in doubt, underwater rather than over.
Our fresh flower guarantee
If your flowers don't look fresh on arrival, call us within 24 hours with a photo and we'll replace them.
